Is the whole of PIK 2 a National Strategic Project?
It is not accurate to treat the entire commercial PIK 2 area as identical to the National Strategic Project. In January 2025, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs stated that PSN status in the PIK 2 area relates to the Tropical Coastland ecotourism development.
Why the distinction matters
Public use of the term PIK 2 may refer to a broad commercial area, while PSN status concerns a defined government-designated project. Legal, planning, investment, and land discussions should identify the specific project and area being discussed.
